Principals stay on the work
The people who scope an engagement are the people who deliver it. Nobody gets handed a project they didn't help shape.
Small phases, real releases
We work in defined phases that end in something a client can use, not a status report. Short feedback loops keep everyone honest.
Hand over, don't lock in
Success is a client team that can run what we built without us. Documentation and knowledge transfer are part of the job, not an afterthought.
Say what we don't know
We'd rather tell a client a semantic model won't fix their problem than sell them one. Candour is how trust gets built.
Engineering principles
- One definition per metric, owned by a named person.
- Version control, code review and repeatable deployments for every model and pipeline.
- Data-quality checks and lineage built in from the first release.
- Least-privilege access and privacy considered at design time, not bolted on.
- Choose the simplest tool that will still be right in two years.
- Write it down: decisions, assumptions and runbooks live next to the code.
